Integrated monitoring system for tunnel cables
The online monitoring system for the cables of Qingdao Tunnel (System) realizes real-time monitoring for Qingdao Tunnel with cables with help of modern high-tech electronic technologies, sensor technologies, computer technologies, communication technologies, embedded technologies and network technologies. In detail, it acquires and analyzes data such as cable temperature, internal temperature and humidity of the tunnel, smoke, fire door state, water level, fan state, manhole cover state and leakage current and executes comprehensive evaluation and warning for the tunnel and its cable safety to realize remote monitoring for devices of the tunnel. The system can realize data communication, data query and parameter setting management.
The system mainly includes three layers, including a master station layer, a communication transmission layer and a data acquisition device layer. Power operation and management persons can figure out the safe operation state of Qingdao Tunnel through images, data and curves, thus changing the methods of tunnel inspection and maintenance, reduce the labor intensity and improve the level of tunnel maintenance. The system can monitor internal environmental parameters and device states of the tunnel real time and inform users of them in multiple ways and control the auxiliary devices remotely. The network based centralized management makes it tunnel management very convenient; the system is highly automatic, ensuring normal operation for the high-voltage power cables and safety for related workers, improve the grid safety, realize safe and stable operation and online monitoring and analysis for the transmission grid, fault warning, analysis and elimination, emergency commanding and quick response.
Main monitoring functions
Monitoring mode : A two-level networking structure, a B/S structure based WEB browser monitoring method, remote WEB management in an LAN, and a platform compatible to integrators
Monitoring parameters : Video systems at the entrances, contents of the harmful gases (CO, CH4 and H2S), oxygen content in air, water level of the reservoir, the access control system, the temperature, the humidity, the smoke detector, the lamps, the fans and the pumps
Access control video system : Each entrance has an access control video system. When a worker punch to enter an entrance, there is a fill light connected with the related access control video system.
Intelligent control : Linkage with exhaust fans in accordance with contents of the harmful gases and the oxygen content in air, automatic control over the pumps in accordance with water level of the reservoir, provision of third-party ports for easy secondary development.
Remote control : Support for remote control over the fans, the lamps and the pumps, without the original manual control.
Networking mode : The internal network access server, the monitoring host computers, the access controllers and the video server are connected with the monitoring center through optical fibers.

Requirements of the proposal
The system is expected to realize remote monitoring for devices in the tunnel and realize real-time data acquisition and exchange and centralized management and control for the tunnel, thus ensuring safe and stable operation for the tunnel cables.
Introduction to the proposal
The proposal is mainly designed based on our industrial Ethernet switches. The network is a single-ring communication network. Devices are arranged by area and all the data need to be uploaded to the far monitoring center, so optical fiber communication is adopted between areas. All the data access points use our IES618-2F-4DI 100Mbps switches and an IES618-2F switch of our company is arranged in the monitoring center, forming a ring network with help of optical fibers to realize a self-recovery ring network redundant link; due to the need of multi-service access, multi-port switches are used to provide sufficient access ports for different data of the whole System. In spite of many services, the system has a moderate data volume and a few video data for accessing, so a 100Mbps ring network is used.
The system uses switches of two models, IES618-2F-4DI switches and IES618-2F switches.
